I was very sceptical of the Bowen Technique, but decided to give it a try as it had helped other members of my family. I arrived at my first treatment with a permanent headache. I had lower back pain taking eight pain killers a day. I also used my inhaler three times a day for Asthma. My neck, shoulders and elbow were also painful and I could not sleep on my right side at night.
After the first treatment no more headaches. My back was put into alignment so that I was able to bend and touch my toes. I was therefore able to reduce my painkillers to two per day. My breathing has improved and I only use my inhaler at night. Two more treatments followed and my neck, shoulders and elbow pain also disappeared.
I have been telling everyone about Bowen, even my doctor, who was very impressed.

My back pain started 20 years ago which resulted in many visits to a variety of practitioners, but I found no relief. As a result I had to use my own resources to help achieve a pain free existence for many years, however a year ago I found myself moving off a couch awkwardly and here I was again with back pain. I did exercises, stretches etc to relieve the pain, but found by the afternoon I needed to lay down or was forced to, as the pain became too much.
I had (unsuccessfully) tried to book an appointment with an osteopath, as I had been unable to relieve the symptoms completely.
This is where Rhonda comes in, I heard her talk of The Bowen Technique and when she said there should be some affect after one or two treatments I booked in.
On the first appointment (and I can say I was scared of laying on my front for a period of time because of the pain) at some point the pain disappeared completely. I drove home waiting for the pain (as it normally does after other treatments) to return and it did not. I did only have the two treatments and have never had such a result in such a short time scale. I will continue to have Bowen as a maintenance programme, why would I seek other treatments when this has given me a pain free existence.

Having been diagnosed with Emphysema I was told my difficulty in breathing would not improve. A friend suggested I tried the Bowen Technique. As soon as my first treatment had been completed I could breathe much deeper and I was not so short of breath. The subsequent three visits improved my arthritis, back pain and circulation as well. The pins and needles in both arms in the mornings disappeared as well as my headaches. On my experience I would highly recommend Bowen to anyone.

I am 17 years old and as for as long as I can remember, I have had a twisted leg. I have been to various consultants who all said I was fine but to put my right foot straight as I walked gave me huge pain in my hip so I walked with my foot turned out. I also had bad lower back pain that affected my everyday life when it came to bending down or lying on my back.
After having the first Bowen treatment I was amazed to find that my lower back pain had reduced a lot, allowing me to bend down without nearly as much pain.
As a result of the second treatment my right foot became much straighter and my back pain has 95% disappeared.

When I came to you with arthritis, I had pain in my knees, wrists, neck and shoulders and I was feeling tired and down.
I could not believe after one Bowen session the pain had gone from my right leg and I was able to bend it too.
After the second treatment, my left leg was much better and the pain had gone from my neck and shoulders.
After the third treatment no pain in my wrists and for the first time in years I have been able to knit.
I am walking without a stick and I feel so much better in myself.

A few weeks ago I suffered an attack of chronic arthritis. The doctor prescribed strong pain killers which gave some relief but did not last.
Fortunately after a few weeks feeling tired and unable to do anything, I went for my first Bowen treatment. The very next day I felt almost pain free.
Before my second session I had a few aches and pains, but nothing compared to previously. I would recommend this to anyone.
